Some RV upgrades feel like weekend projects before starting. Drilling holes, running lines, worrying about leaks.

We‘ve been there and it’s never as simple once start changing things.

After a long winter, we finally got back into the mountains.A shaky forecast turned into the first real summer feeling—warm days, quiet camps, long stretches where everything slows down.

Water’s always the limit out here.
Learn quick what we‘re comfortable drinking. We pulled straight from a creek, ran it through the portable RO unit.

Came out pure enough to drink without thinking twice. Staying longer than planned. No resupply.

Low TDS doesn’t always mean safe water.

TDS only measures dissolved minerals. It misses bacteria, viruses, chemicals-the real risks. That gap shows up fast in real use.

We’ve learned to focus less on the number, and more on what actually removes risk.

One thing about clean RO water: it can taste a little flat. But a remineralization filter brings back a more natural taste.

We added one to our ITEHIL setup a while back, and it quickly became something we didn’t want to be without.

World Environment Day. 🌍Just filter our own water straight from whatever natural source is around,creeks, rivers, wherever we stop.

It wasn’t really a goal. Just a small change that made life on the road a little easier.And it stuck.

Fill a bottle at creek and just pause for a second, wondering if it’s actually okay.

Later that day, we top off the tank in the van, half-noticing how little we’ve been drinking.

That’s usually when this itehil RO unit ends up getting used, campground taps, creek water, whatever’s available. Clean, safe water all the time.

Next weekend it’s in the kitchen running tap water for coffee.

Somewhere along the way it stops being “just in case.” We don’t think about it.just use it.

Wheel on Wednesday. 5-gallon jugs leak, slosh, and steal space. We finally simplified.

One compact filter rig now tucks into the Rebel Off Road canopy. Pull it out at camp, fill up, pack it away. Way less hassle.

Curious who’s still hauling bottled water around.

Most days the to-do list just doesn’t matter. We were supposed to clean up after dinner but just stayed outside with a beer until the sun went down.

There’s still stuff that needs fixing or figuring out, but it can wait.

We don’t really rush anymore.It just ends up like that most days.
