Wheel on Wednesday. 5-gallon jugs leak, slosh, and steal space. We finally simplified.

One compact filter rig now tucks into the Rebel Off Road canopy. Pull it out at camp, fill up, pack it away. Way less hassle.

Most days the to-do list just doesn’t matter. We were supposed to clean up after dinner but just stayed outside with a beer until the sun went down.

There’s still stuff that needs fixing or figuring out, but it can wait.

Ten minutes in, hand locked up, and it still didn’t taste right. That’s normal with most pump setups.

You just deal with it because it “works”.
Until one trip you start thinking… maybe this part doesn’t have to be like that.

We stopped doing it the same way after that.Now just fill, hit a button, and drink.
Same river. Less effort. Less guessing.

“Just boil it” works. But it’s not a system. It assumes everything before that is already handled.

Most off-grid setups skip that assumption.That’s usually where problems start.

Most people dial in their power setup.
Same here.

Out by the river, filling up and running it through - never really thought about water much on trips, just picked the
“better water source”and moved on.

Now it’s just whatever‘s there.
