Time to check the emergency kit again.Starting with water. Always water.

Pulled the ITEHIL RO unit out and took it down to the creek this morning. It’s been sitting in the kit for months. Better to know it works now than when we actually need it.

Out here, it gives us another water source. At home, it’s the family’s backup.Water sorted. The rest of the list can wait.

Pushed off the bank and realized I’d forgotten the water.Wasn’t about to turn around.

The ITEHIL Mini was clipped to the boat, so I filled straight from the lake, filtered it, topped up my bottle and kept paddling.

Found a quiet spot to camp, tied off, tried for a fish, and got a fire going.
