Your employees are part of your cybersecurity strategy.
That doesn't mean employees need to become cybersecurity experts.

They do need to know how to recognize common warning signs:
- An unexpected invoice
- A login request they weren't expecting
- A message creating a sense of urgency
- A suspicious link or attachment
- A request for sensitive information
- A sender who seems slightly "off"

Phishing attacks often succeed because they're designed to look normal.
Regular security awareness training helps employees slow down, recognize suspicious activity, and know what to do when something doesn't look right.
Technology is an important part of cybersecurity.
Your people are too.

If your business accounts aren't protected by multi-factor authentication (MFA), that's a great place to start.

MFA adds another layer of protection beyond a password. Even if a password is compromised, an attacker still has another barrier to overcome.

Consider enabling MFA for:

- Email and Microsoft 365

- VPN and remote access

- Cloud applications

- Financial accounts

- Administrative accounts

- Any system containing sensitive information

It's one of the simplest security improvements a business can make.

And remember: MFA is most effective when combined with strong passwords, secure devices, user awareness, and other layers of protection.

One extra step can make a big difference.
