An hour before tipoff at the NBA Finals, referee Scott Foster warms up his eyes with a VR headset 👀

The routine comes from Dr. Joseph LaPlaca, a Carmel, Indiana based high performance vision clinic founded by Dr. Joe LaPlaca, and featured front and center on ESPN today.

NBA refs. Pro goalies. IndyCar pit crews. Dr. Joe trains their eyes and brains like muscles, and some of his first believers are teams from his own backyard in Indiana: the Indy Fuel, Indy Ignite, and Chip Ganassi Racing.

One of the world’s largest athletic footwear and apparel retailers is making a major investment in Indiana.

The City of City of Fishers announced a $169 million expansion of the Fishers District anchored by JD Sports US and Finish Line, which will move its North America headquarters to a new home northeast of downtown Indianapolis.

At the heart of the expansion is the new $65 million, 180,000-square-foot Fishers Fieldhouse, the future home of the Indy Ignite Pro Volleyball and a hub for youth basketball, volleyball leagues and tournaments.
