STOP! 🛑
Before adding AI to your workflow, it’s worth looking at what’s already happening behind the scenes. 👀
AI works best when it has clean data, clear processes, and a defined job to do. Without those foundations, you may just be adding a more advanced tool on top of an existing problem.
Before deciding a workflow needs AI, ask:
👉 Are we capturing the right data?
AI can only work with the information it has. Missing fields, inconsistent data, or outdated information can quickly impact results.
👉 Are there unnecessary steps in the process?
Adding AI to an inefficient workflow doesn’t automatically make it efficient. Sometimes the best first step is simplifying the process itself.
👉 Could traditional automation solve the problem?
Not every repetitive task needs AI. Rules-based automation may be faster, simpler, and more cost-effective for predictable workflows.
👉 Where does AI actually add value?
AI becomes much more powerful when a task requires things like understanding context, interpreting information, handling conversations, or making decisions based on multiple inputs.
The question shouldn’t be “Where can we add AI?”
It should be “What are we trying to improve—and is AI, automation, or a combination of both the best way to do it?”
We’re going to dig into exactly this during our free webinar, Before You Add AI: Is Your Data & Process Ready?, on Wednesday, September 9 at 1:00 PM ET.
