I do this from time to time, but I don’t do it as much as I probably should (everyday, honestly) but as we approach the 19th of September, I always take some time to reflect on what it is we are doing here, and I want to sincerely thank everyone from the absolute bottom and top of my heart, who shops with us, leaves us reviews, interacts with us on social media, sells and trades to us, and in general talks positively and refers us to friends.
In case you weren’t aware, the 19th of September is our anniversary. Our birthday, if you will. Ready. Set. Game became a shop then, and you have kept us here for ELEVEN YEARS.
11. Years.
Is that not insane? It feels like we still just opened the other day. I was a medical sales rep before this. I worked in medical sales for four and a half years. I’ve done sales my entire life, but my first job ever was when I was 14 in Marietta Georgia, working for a small mom and pop game store, much like we have built today here for you! It was the happiest I ever was working, and when I was burnt out by medical sales, I knew I had to finally go after this.
Here we are. Eleven years have passed, and God willing, we will have many more to follow.
Last year was a record year for us, and this year is shaping up to be even better! Which means, we are making it better for you too. Stay tuned for what that means. Cryptic yes, but there is a lot going on behind the scenes, and when it comes to fruition, it will have been worth the wait!
All this to say, we couldn’t do a single thing that we have done without you. You keep us alive. You are our blood and organs. You are our lungs, our heartbeat, and we are so strong today because of you.
And because of you, my childhood dream became a reality. I get to do what I love, and I get to employ EIGHT others who love this too, because of YOU.
