The world's most famous legume! A teenager won the 1916 Planters Peanut Company contest, launching Mr. Peanut's 108 year history. A graphic designer spiffed him up for his national debut the Saturday Evening Post. That five dollar prize ($150 today) could stock a squirrel pantry with peanuts for a year! Confession time: I've been obsessed with this new book Jell-O girls. Step into the wobbly, weird world of Jell-O marketing with me for a minute!

"...recipe booklets Had long been a staple of Jell-O's marketing campaigns. But in 1961, the small recipe booklet form was replaced with a 95 page cookbook containing more than 250 recipes. 'Joys of Jell-O', and it's numerous sequels are still in use, available on eBay for five bucks, in fact: a steal, given that in the early 1960s, the cookbook sold for twenty-five cents plus proof of purchase of six Jell-O cartons, a sum equipment today to around seven dollars."

🚙🐿️🚨 Why did the squirrel cross the road? To show his girlfriend he had guts!

We've all seen how gutsy they can be – a squirrel suddenly crosses the road while you're driving. Some live to see the other side and some don't. Why do they do it? Three reasons! But first, a caution to drive slowly and watch the ditches.

Here's why the poor little guys dart out more often in the autumn. 🍂

Squirrels travel more in the autumn when they are food-caching. That's squirrel speak for finding suitable places to hide their winter stores.

Squirrels born in early autumn are venturing out of their nests for the first time. Babies and youngsters haven't learned how to avoid cars yet.

Squirrels often misjudge car speeds because their eyes are on the sides of their heads. This is why they freeze or darting unexpectedly in front of cars.

Please help keep our busy little friends safe. 🙏🏻

Please slow down and do not speed up to avoid them because they can't judge your speed and they dont know how to react or dont have enough time to react.

And please don't honk because more than anything, it confuses the squirrel.

Thanks for caring… stay squirrelly! ☺️
