♻️ Throwback Tech Rescue! 📱✨
A customer brought in this stack of older Samsung tablets to see if we could work some magic and restore them to working condition.

While these older models don't have a massive amount of storage space by modern standards, they are still perfect for basic web browsing, e-reading, or keeping the kids entertained!

🛠️ What we did:
Gave them a complete system reflash to wipe away years of lag.

Restored them back to clean, working firmware. (Note: A few of the small Samsung Tab 4's are strictly tied to Nook firmware due to factory software limitations, but they are still fully functional for reading and browsing!)

Tested the charging and batteries to ensure they are ready for their second life.

Before you throw away your old tablets or phones, bring them by the shop! You might be surprised at how much life is still left in them. 📉

🛠️ Another PS5 Saved from the Brink! 🎮✨
A customer brought in this PlayStation 5 suffering from some serious video issues, and it didn't take long to figure out why. Just looking at the back, that HDMI port was absolutely mangled (scroll through the photos to see that crushed port!).

Once we got it under the microscope, here is what we found:

The Good News: Surprisingly, no ripped traces directly under the main HDMI pins.

The Bad News: The physical impact was violent enough to completely knock off an SMD diode, tearing its PCB pads right off the board with it.

Bonus Issues: While we had it completely disassembled, we checked the cooling system. The factory liquid metal on the APU was suffering from the classic "vanishing" effect, leaving a dry spot right in the center of the chip.

🔧 The Fix:
We micro-soldered a brand new OEM HDMI port, jumped and rebuilt the broken traces for the missing SMD component, and completely cleaned/redistributed a fresh layer of premium liquid metal over the APU to ensure it runs ice-cold.

As you can see, she boots right back up to the home screen perfectly! 🌟

As Memorial Day comes to a close, we want to wish all of our customers a wonderful and peaceful holiday.
Our team spent the last week blending professional growth with some well-deserved rest. We started the week at the Gadget Repair Expo 6.0 in Atlantic City, NJ, learning cutting-edge repair processes and strengthening our relationships with both new and existing vendors. We also had to chance to great some great new partnerships to provide additional new services to ur customer base.

Following the expo, our team took some time away to relax and enjoy the holiday weekend with loved ones.
