Television recycling is significantly more expensive than other electronics. Recoverable materials are low, due to their size and the cost of fuel transportation costs are high. We are the only recycler in Eastern Idaho that accepts televisions. In Idaho Falls and the
surrounding area, we process approximately 60,000 lbs of TVs per year. This Year has been extremely high volume. We will have recycled 106,000 lbs of Televisions, keeping them out of landfills. To continue providing this service, we must recover our costs.

TVs require special handling because they contain hazardous materials. CRT (tube) TVs contain lead and may contain mercury. LCD TVs may contain mercury in backlight tubes. All TVs, regardless of type, contain boards with lead and mercury which are classified as hazardous waste and require regulated handling and disposal.

Please continue to recycle and dispose of your used electronics responsibly. Every TV you bring in keeps hazardous materials out of the ground and gives usable materials a second life. Thank you for supporting a service that serves this community.

Eastern Idaho's only CERTIFIED full service Electronics recycling center.
