🇺🇸 September 11, 2001. Never Forget.

Twenty-five years later, there are moments from that day that still feel impossible to put into words.

For some, September 11th is remembered through the images we watched on television and the stories we have heard in the years since.

For others, those images are memories.

Leroy was a firefighter then. When our nation was attacked, he was among the firefighters who responded to the Pentagon.

There are things he saw that day that cannot be adequately described. Things carried quietly for more than two decades.

And his story is only one among thousands of first responders, service members, law enforcement officers, medical personnel, volunteers, families, and ordinary Americans whose lives were forever divided into before September 11th and after.

Today isn't about one person's story.

It's about 2,977 lives taken.

It's about the people who ran toward danger while others were trying desperately to escape it.

It's about the families who never got another goodbye.

It's about those who survived but carried September 11th home with them.

And it's about the countless responders and survivors we have lost in the years since to illnesses connected to Ground Zero, the Pentagon, and Shanksville.

It is also about remembering what happened to all of us that day.

For a moment, we weren't divided by politics, geography, background, or belief.

We were Americans.

So today, we remember New York City.
We remember the Pentagon.
We remember Flight 93 and Shanksville.

We remember those who died.
We honor those who served.

And we hold close those who still carry the weight of that day.

September 11, 2001 — May we never forget. 🇺🇸

Okay East Tennessee... we're getting closer. 👀📻

And we have a question:
WHAT ARE YOU SHOPPING FOR SATURDAY?!

A new handheld?
Mobile radio?
GMRS setup?
Amateur radio gear?
Accessories?
Or are you in the highly respected category of:
"I wasn't looking for anything... and then I went to a Hamfest." 😂😂

We understand. Hamfest math is different math.

Leroy & Bobbie are getting things together for Saturday's East Tennessee Hamfest in Dandridge, and M&L Radio Technology will be there ready to talk radios, answer questions, help you compare options and hopefully send you home with something you love.

And if you're NEW to radio — please come see us.

Seriously.

You do NOT have to know the terminology.

You don't have to know which radio you need.

You don't have to pretend you understand something when you don't.

Tell us what you're trying to accomplish, and we'll help you work backward from there. ❤️📻

That's what hometown service looks like.

Guess Who’s Hitting the Road Again?

Apparently Leroy & Bobbie looked at each other after the last Hamfest and said…

"You know what sounds relaxing? ANOTHER HAMFEST." 😂📻

So here we go again!

This Saturday, M&L Radio Technology is headed to Dandridge, Tennessee for the East Tennessee Hamfest — Gateway to the Smokies! ⛰️🍂

📅 Saturday, September 12, 2026
⏰ 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Field of Dreams Activity Center
1145 Treadway Dr.
Dandridge, TN 37725

And this time, Leroy AND Bobbie are holding down the M&L booth! ❤️

We'll be bringing radios, accessories, plenty of things for you to put your hands on and check out, and — most importantly — the kind of help you actually get when you can stand across a table and say:

"Okay... I have absolutely no idea what I need." 😂

Perfect. Those are some of our favorite conversations.

Whether you're an experienced amateur radio operator, getting into GMRS, looking for your first radio, upgrading your setup, or you just want to come talk radios with Leroy while Bobbie keeps him out of trouble...

Come find M&L! 📻😂

The event will also have vendors, tailgating, prize drawings and VE testing if you're ready to earn or upgrade your amateur radio license.

East Tennessee... WE'RE COMING! ⛰️📻❤️

❤️📻 ERWIN… THANK YOU!

Another Hamfest is officially in the books!

Leroy packed up M&L Radio Technology and headed home after a fantastic Saturday at HAMFEST 2026, and we just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who made the day possible.

To the organizers and volunteers who put the event together…

To the vendors who showed up…

To the folks who stopped by the M&L booth…

To everyone who bought something, asked a question, talked radios, shared a story or simply stopped long enough to say hello to Leroy…

THANK YOU. ❤️

This is exactly why we keep loading trailers, driving across Tennessee and beyond, setting up tables and doing it all over again.

Because yes…

📻 We love radios.

But we love the COMMUNITY around them even more.

Thank you for supporting our Veteran & Firefighter owned, Christian family-owned small business and allowing us to keep doing something we genuinely love.

And remember — Hamfest may be over, but M&L Radio Technology doesn't disappear when the tables get packed up.

Need a radio?

Need programming help?

Trying to figure out GMRS?

Thinking about getting into amateur radio?

Need an antenna, accessories or just some advice?

Give us a call. That's what hometown service is all about. ❤️📻

Until the next adventure…

73, God Bless & THANK YOU, ERWIN! 🇺🇸❤️📻

📡 ERWIN — CAN YOU HEAR US YET?! 😂📻

We're halfway to HAMFEST 2026, and Leroy is getting ready to load up M&L Radio Technology and head east!

Whether you've been in amateur radio for 40 years, just got your GMRS license, are thinking about taking your first exam, or simply keep hearing people say things like repeater, PL tone and simplex and would REALLY like someone to explain what they're talking about…

COME SEE LEROY. ❤️

That's one of our favorite parts of what we do.

No stupid questions.

No expectation that you already know everything.

Just radio people helping radio people. 📻

And if you're planning to talk your way in Saturday, save these:
