Jimmy Ayers is adding four well-earned letters to his name: RCDD! 👏

Our Estimator/Designer has earned his BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer certification, a milestone that reflects his commitment to expanding his knowledge and growing in his profession.

Strong communications infrastructure starts with thoughtful planning. The RCDD credential recognizes the technical knowledge behind that work—from understanding project requirements to designing the systems that support reliable connectivity.

“A good design needs to work on paper and in the field. Earning my RCDD was a way to challenge myself and strengthen how I approach that responsibility. I’m looking forward to putting what I’ve learned into practice and helping our teams start each project with a clear plan.”

Jimmy, we’re proud of the effort you put into reaching this goal and glad to celebrate it with you. Congratulations on becoming an RCDD!

We’re proud to share that NCS has received the Commitment to Safety (CTS) Platinum Award from the American Subcontractors Association - Houston Chapter (ASA-HC).

The award was accepted by Freddy Salazar, SHEP, CSHO, CSST, Safety/Quality Manager, and recognizes NCS’ continued commitment to maintaining a strong safety program and protecting our employees on every project.

Safety is one of our core values, and receiving the Platinum level reflects the effort our entire team puts into it every day — from completing JSAs and wearing the proper PPE to following jobsite requirements, speaking up about hazards, and looking out for one another.

Thank you to everyone in the field and office who continues to make safety a priority. This recognition belongs to the entire NCS team.

Another great project completed by our Structured Cabling DFW team!

Our team recently wrapped up work at NextGen Security's office in Arlington, Texas. The project included Cat6 cabling for cubicles and offices, shielded cabling for TV locations, basket tray and cable pathway installation, and a complete IDF buildout with a four-post rack, wire management, ladder rack and grounding.

Thank you to our DFW team for the hard work and excellent workmanship on this project. Great work, team!

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001, a tragedy that changed our nation and left an enduring mark on generations of Americans.

We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93 — and our hearts remain with the families who lost loved ones and the many whose lives were changed that day.

We pay tribute to the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and service members who answered the call, among them those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Twenty-five years later, the courage, sacrifice, compassion, and unity shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy remain a powerful part of our nation's story.

We will never forget.

Join us in congratulating Luke Simonsen, RCDD, TECH, INSTF, CT, CSST, SSH, CHSO, Safety and QA/Fiber Specialist, on earning his BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification. 👏

The RCDD is a premier, globally recognized credential for professionals who design, integrate, and implement information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure. It represents advanced knowledge of telecommunications distribution systems, industry standards, codes, pathways, spaces, structured cabling, and other critical ICT infrastructure.

When asked about earning the certification, Luke shared:

"This experience reinforced something I already believed: when a company invests in its employees, and its employees invest in each other, great things can happen. I’m incredibly proud to have earned my RCDD, but I’m even more grateful for the people and the company culture that helped make it possible. I’m proud to be part of NCS and to work for a company that doesn’t just talk about employee development. It puts the resources, training, and people behind it."

Congratulations, Luke, on this outstanding achievement and your continued commitment to growing your expertise and supporting our team and clients.

Our team is hitting the books! 📚

Members of our estimating team are preparing for the BICSI RCDD exam, one of the industry’s most respected credentials for ICT infrastructure design.

Earning the Registered Communications Distribution Designer certification is no small task. It requires mastering the Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM), meeting BICSI’s experience requirements, and developing a strong understanding of the technical principles behind telecommunications infrastructure design.

A big shoutout to our team for taking on the challenge. Investing in our people means strengthening the expertise we bring to every project and delivering even greater value to our clients.

Good luck, team! We’re proud of the work you’re putting in, and we know you’ve got this. 💪
