Back at it with a new card from the Gulf Coast Tarot!

Relaxing on a hammock in some welcome breeze, in a sleepy haze that welcomes rest after a job well done. The 9 of Cups indicates wishes made true and dreams brought to fruition. I picture this scene playing out near a lake or river, where the dream of a pleasant day can be achieved after the long slog of summer 🥵

The tarot launch is imminent! We've been out filming all week for our kickstarter video, and are about to start the editing process. Wish us luck!

August is here! Can you believe it?

The dog days of summer are closing in, and today we're celebrating our calendar's mezozoic esque design with an ancient fish cruising down a primordial bayou. Lil nods in the art to the perseids meteor shower, and the sturgeon moon, coming up this month! And don't forget the lil night scented orchid, who is our night blooming plant of the month. 🌚
In other news, we're getting ready for our kickstarter launch in one month! Yes, the Gulf Coast Tarot is imminent, and we're steadily releasing previews of the cards. Perhaps fittingly, I've pulled the 10 of Swords for today's card 😭 and wouldn't you know it -- some kinda terrible fate has befallen our fishy friend. Backstabbing, ruin, failure... Be on guard!

PAPER TRAIL 2026!

After a quick stop at gastown for guzzoline, we're in San Antonio for Paper Trail! Come out, see the prints, and beat the heat in the dark cave of the Rock Box! 11am - 7pm!

We're moving ahead on the tarot decks, with a kickstarter campaign planned for September! If everything goes well, we hope to have finished decks available in November. But following our project there is the best way to support the project, and see if we can follow through with extras like a riso interpretive guide, screen printed reading cloth, and even a limited edition RISO deck! May is here!

And the water lilies are in full growth, loving all the rain. Out at Brazos Bend State Park, the alligators are feeling frisky, baying up in the air and releasing gutteral growls behind every thicket 👀🐊

Best to enjoy it now before the sun truly begins to beat down on us 🌄

Eurasian Catchfly has a series of long flowers that each remain open for three nights, to help prevent self-fertilization. It creates a strong floral scent to attract night-flying moths, who pollinate the plants! 🦋

February has arrived!

This month's night bloom is Night-scented Stock, matthiola longipetala 🌚

Low growing, highly branched, and known for the nice smell it releases in the evenings and through the night!

We just passed Imolc and the snow moon this past Sunday, so hopefully we're now approaching spring. On the 17th, the lunar new year approaches, with the fire horse 🔥🐎🔥 bringing change, movement, and the breaking of old limitations... so strap in, but be careful not to burn out!
