1.NEVER give out your bank details to a source you don’t know and trust ⁣
2.If you’re selling something and someone overpays, do NOT send any overpayment back to the person until the check clears. Otherwise, you’ll owe the bank the full amount if the check bounces.⁣
3. Always verify a suspicious caller’s identity through a second source.⁣
4. Do NOT send gift cards, cash, or wire transfers⁣
5. If someone is urgently requesting you to pay, slow down and check into it. Legit companies don’t typically demand payment on the spot⁣
