Using a 9mm prime lens gave me some weird distortion, so I swapped out to a 16mm. Enough to get me in tight spaces and get side profiles. Low aperture to get me more light. Swapping back and forth from video and pictures was a task.

It was a full day on the road, but I made every stop count!
After celebrating my friend’s grand opening, I headed back over to the Southwest side to pick up my dad. From there, it was another 45-minute drive out to Rosharon. I’ll be honest—I don’t love driving as much as I used to, but the journey was worth it.
Once we made it, I quickly offloaded my camera memory cards, grabbed a late lunch that basically turned into dinner, and rushed out to the JDM car meet at Red Circle Pearland.
I rolled in just after 7:30 PM, right as the sun was setting. With light fading fast, I had to make a quick choice: shoot video or snap photos? I decided to do both! I started by capturing video clips before switching over to photography.
Some spots had great lighting, but most of the lot was dark as hell. Here are a few favorite shots I managed to grab before the night ended!
