The idea for BlackCrown Trading Co.™ started in Malta, the summer of 2012, over drinks with friends. Malta being an island, it is very difficult to shop for anything that was not made or locally distributed on the island. We all had our personal tastes, but we couldn't seem to find an easy, stylish outlet to shop from. The conversation began to go from complaining to ‘what if’. We had a Spaniard, a Texan, a Norwegian, a Swede, and a Britt, and from there we began comparing and contrasting ideas for an online shop we would want to buy from, be inspired by, and grow with. We decided that Nomad would be our store where we would personally design and hand-select items that we wanted to feature, that we felt best suited our personal tastes. So that is what we did. Now we have our store. Our merchandise ranges from limited edition prints to clothing pieces and household items that each have a distinctive style. We also take pride in the other brands we feature that we handpicked to feature in our store. Every item shown on our site is something we have allowed ourselves to fall in love with. I have problem going to old places.
Worn corners, old price stickers, covers that still know how to stare back at you. I go in for a quick look and suddenly I’m negotiating with time, nostalgia, and my wife — who wisely limited me to only two Rod Stewart records.

Pero en mi memoria se aceleran cada día más los olores y con ellos los recuerdos. Note imaginas cuánto me acuerdo de tu aroma a malboro y esos tubos de whisky y Coca-Cola. Era esa image de tus dedos sugejetando los ci*******os en una copa de tubo. Tu presencia que castigaba al más pintado. Has sido y serás lo más grande que he visto en mi vida. La mía está llena de imágenes tuyas, de Tino, de Vicky, de Leo, del mechas, del Nota, del Barón… tú has sido la canción de Sabina de mi vida. Que triste que para salvarme tuve que escapar de ti. Te quiero más de lo que jamás podré expresar y solo hay una cosa de la que me arrepiento de veras… nunca supe ser el hijo que te merecías. Gracias por la vida.
