That is, when you build a computer, you start the process and then wait till it is finished. You do not have to load any software or answer any questions. The same goes for performing updates and upgrades. T domain. We were with Texaco at the time and left shortly thereafter to form System Management Technologies, Inc. (SMT). We have been automating system builds (servers and workstations) for some of the major process automation vendors. Our build process is virtually hands free. It can be totally hands free if you use PXE (i.e., Network Booting via Ethernet) to initiate a build. For an Experion build, we start with the Experion Init DVD and add our custom tools to automate the input into the prompts and buttons. Experion will then install and when complete, our processes begins. We verify a domain join and then begin adding additional software, custom configuring of the Operating System and Experion System if needed. Our processes can and will make all the settings, changes or customizations that you make on the systems in order to make them ready for operations. We have even automated (with or without user confirmation) a redundant server pair migration. Our software is a great tool to build, manage and migrate your systems. Automated Honeywell Experion System Builds

We have customized the automated Honeywell Experion System Installation process to build a production ready system complete with all customer requirements including software, settings and security requirements. We utilize IT Works to drive Honeywell Experion System Installation through our parameterized system. We give the Honeywell Experion System Installation process the information needed for it to install and then wait for it to complete. When it has finished, IT Works continues the build as per customer specifications. We join the domain, we add virus software, we apply Honeywell patches and the Update Manager, as well as any other setting the customer may need.

Automated Secure Remote Microsoft Windows Build via SSL and OpenVPN

You will find videos of various configurations of our automated build process. We have videos at 10x the normal speed and normal speeds. You will find full builds over the internet and in-house domain builds. These videos demonstrate the ability to perform a 'bare metal' computer build over a secure internet connection and also on a LAN. We build Windows 7, 8, and 10 as well as server versions.

Remote builds require you to supply your DVDs for Windows and Microsoft Office and other large software installations you may have, but that is all. You do not have to perform the install, just insert the DVD and continue the build. Some software will be downloaded from our servers. Some software, service packs, update and patches will be downloaded directly from the Internet. These installs will not ask you a question. They will just install.

In-House domain builds are fully automated and require no intervention. If you allow PXE booting and Wake On LAN, we can even build the computers without ever touching them (except to enable PXE booting and Wake On LAN). If you computer is currently running, we can run a process which will perform a fully automated system rebuild on the next reboot. You can also start a build from a CD/DVD or a bootable USB drive. When the system is complete, it is ready for the user. When the user logs on, there are no questions he/she must answer before using the computer. It is completely ready to start using. Open Outlook and there is your mail!

We are beta testing an automated remote system build and management process.

Currently, we provide an ISO which you then burn to CD/DVD. We will also support booting off of USB drives and can even place a boot environment on an existing C: drive. Our remote build process will format the C: drive, install Windows, Office and a host of other applications. If you provide us with your License keys, we embed them into your automated build. Your computer will connect to our server via SSL and OpenVPN to gather the information needed to load your system. It will look for your Windows and Office DVDs or source locations, and prompt if needed. It will download installation files from our server or directly from the software vendor (i.e., Windows and Office Service Packs come directly from Microsoft). We have remote access to all phases of this process until it is complete, We can remote connect and monitor the process and handle any issues that may arise. If you have files you want to save, we can help you copy them off to an external device or network location before building the system.

It is with deep and sad regret that we inform everyone of the passing of Tom Hall at 2:30 AM November 21, 2011. Tom, a founding member of SMT, had been battling cancer since mid-June of this year. After several encouraging attempts to stem the tide, his body basically rejected the treatments and succumbed.
