At that time, HEW’s core business was monograms for individuals. During the next eleven years, core business was shifted away from monograms and was focused on a business-to-business marketing strategy. This shift fueled a growth of 20 times our size in 2002, and propelled us into the top 3% of all companies within our industry. Another major factor that contributed to this explosive growth was Mel’s twin sons, Mel Jr and Jerry, joining the company in 2005, after serving a tour in Iraq with the USMC. In 2013, HEW was restructured and Lamont Brands, Inc. We’re a HUB certified SDVOSB (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business). Our in-house capabilities include: screen printing, embroidery, laser engraving, heat press transfers, vinyl cutting, eCommerce capabilities, and on-site fulfillment services. We’re also partnered with several industry-leading promo/safety vendors so that we can provide our customers with any need! Please feel free to come by and visit our 21,000 square foot, climate controlled facility to discover what sets us apart from our competition!

25 years later.

This picture hangs in the entryway of our office today. It was purchased just three days before 9-11-2001, originally intended to hang in our dorm room.

Instead, it became something much more meaningful. Rolled up, packed away, and carried with us through Iraq, Africa, and several other continents, it served as a constant reminder of why we joined the Marine Corps and what we were fighting for.

It’s hard to believe that 25 years have passed. On this anniversary, we remember the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and we remember all of those who were lost in the years that followed.

We also remember the men and women who raised their right hand, put on the uniform, and answered the call—serving and sacrificing for something bigger than themselves. To our brothers we served with and how it was the best job we have ever had. 25 years ago is a long time, but for a lot of us it still feels like yesterday.

Semper Fidelis. Never forget. 🇺🇸

Today, we remember September 11, 2001, and the lives lost that day.

We honor those who were taken from us, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the service members who stepped forward to defend our nation in the aftermath.

May we never forget their courage, sacrifice, and the lasting impact of their service.

From START to FINISH.

A look behind the scenes at the screen printing process - from mixing and adding ink to printing each design and applying heat for the finishing touch. It’s all part of turning a blank shirt into something custom and ready to wear.
