Women in Construction: At the young age of 22, I started working in Construction. 30 years later, I am sitting as the CEO and lead consultant of my company, S&B Systems, LLC, and formed a new company, Asset Track for the Cloud. We have incorporated APIs for many different ERP systems including TrimbleOne and other SQL based ERP systems. In observance of International Women’s History month, we are featuring, Deborah Gamelin, our Vice President of Asset Track for Cloud, LLC. Deborah is one of two founders of this women owned business.
In 2021, Deborah retired from AT&T’s Network Engineering & Operations organization after 30 years. She has managed several multimillion-dollar programs and projects including enterprise-wide software development and implementations and significant network upgrades and improvements.
In addition, she brings a wealth of knowledge that allows us to meet and exceed our customer expectations:
• Program/Project Management including Business Case Development, Business Requirements & Technical Definitions, Funding Source Allocation & Tracking to implementation (using Waterfall and Agile practices)
• Corporate Security/Firewall/Quality Control/System/UAT Test Management
• Outsourcing/Offshore/Vendor & External Business Partner Management
• Network Operations Support, monitoring and alarming, ticket reduction, productivity improvements and efficiencies; Asset lifecycle management
• Cost Reduction Programs, Six Sigma & LEAN methodologies
• Legal, Regulatory, Technical (Network Software and Hardware) and Corporate Security Compliance & Oversight including lead for several audits.
• Merger and divestiture initiatives

When asked about her successes over the years, Deborah shared her key philosophies:
• Do not give others any reason to question your integrity.
• Be honest- when you don’t know the answer, say you don’t know and will find the answer and follow up.
• Planning and preparation go a long way; try to do things right the first time.
• Do what you say you are going to do and exceed expectations
• Take time to invest in others, build solid relationships and be sure to recognize excellence of others along the way. (Give credit where credit is due)
• Lastly, always try to solve an issue within the team or directly with an individual, save escalations for when you really need leadership assistance.
On a personal note, Deborah enjoys singing Karaoke, attending live music events with her husband and working in her flower and vegetable gardens with her 2 chihuahuas by her side. She supports and volunteers for charities that help women of domestic violence and disadvantaged children.
