What passions and dreams would we rediscover?

Phew. The last month was rough. A switch in my ADHD medication sent me into a depression on top of other things. I always get the birthday blues. The day after my birthday I made a request with laps of love to put my oldest dog down, who I got on my birthday when I was 17. The next day she was acting better so we switched it to a hospice appointment which went well and she seems to be in better spirits now, so maybe the end isn't quite here yet, but I know it's close. That's been very hard to process. My daughter and I both got sick and she had an ear infection that left her screaming and crying on the day I thought it was time to put my dog down, so that was icing on my stupid birthday cake. Our new cat also recently got spayed and he doesn't know the word chill so he managed to give himself a scrotal hematoma which thankful I was able to care for at home and we didn't have to take him back to the vet again. He's still in a cone but it's finally almost healed up. Again, all this happens shortly after my birthday.

Business wise, things have been surprisingly good considering my current luck 😅. I hit 200 sales in my Etsy shop on my birthday! I had a goal of 150 sales by my shop's first birthday, which was like the last week of February, which I was over by 40ish 🖤

I've also been working on my website to revamp it and it's slowly taking shape. It's not quite ready yet but you can check it out at youandmeidesigns.com.

The last month was about survival, just breathing. But this month, things are already shifting and feeling better.

Hopefully it's not a cosmic April fools prank 🤣

Losing yourself is a slow death that can be hard to come back from. Your power lies in knowing who you TRULY are and not what you have tried to be in order to fit in, impress, get attention, etc.

When you can be unapologetically yourself, even if that means you lose friends, family that you've tried so hard to fit into, that's when you'll find true happiness and you can being to find others that are your true soul family.

Back from a social media break. The biggest thing about having a business that I HATE is having to advertise/promote/post on social media. I’m am extreme introvert and I have ADHD which means that trying to socialize and post all the time without getting dopamine enjoyment from it makes it really hard to do. If you’ve been here awhile you’ll know I’ll just disappear for like a week or two and then come back lol.

I also do this when I’m feeling overwhelmed by all the things I want to do creatively and need to focus all my energy and attention on that.

I have a lot of ideas and plans, an insane amount, and I try to execute as many as I can at the same time because my attention ping pongs and eventually the ball bounces off the table.

Do I bite off more than I can chew? Yeah definitely. Do I figure out how to chew it anyway, absolutely. Is that healthy? Idk, probably not 😂.

I have to remind myself allllll the time that I need to take breaks, especially with how my brain works, and not feel guilty about it. That last part is hard, but I’ve gotten a lot better at it.

Do you need a break and you’re not letting yourself have it out of guilt?

I challenge you to spend a couple days (or more) to check out and only do things you enjoy.

Got a couple sample products from a new supplier I was excited to work with and I am so pleased 👏. I always am searching for the best quality, the most unique and stylish products, all at the best price I can find so that every customer it's happy when they shop with me! I'm OBSESSED with this new dress (pardon the s**t photo of it, my bedroom doesn't have the best lighting at night) and my daughter loves her new shoes as much as I do. Unfortunately, they're still a little big on her 2.5 year old feet (I'm still hunting for a great toddler/baby clothes printer), but it'll be worth the wait!
