Emergency Fiber Outage – Parts of Drew’s Lake

Pioneer Broadband will be performing emergency fiber repairs affecting parts of the Drew’s Lake area.

Outage begins: Tuesday, August 25 at 10:00 PM
Expected restoration: Wednesday, August 26 by 8:00 AM

The outage area is shown in the image below. The following locations are expected to be affected:

N Shore Road:
366, 376, 380, 414, 416, 428, 434, 440, 444, 450, 454, 466, 470, 480 and 492

Salmon Lane:
19, 33, 36, 38, 39, 42, 46, 47 and 52

Warbler Lane:
2

Whippoorwill Lane:
10, 12, 16, 27 and 28

White Perch Lane:
4

Wood Duck Lane:
3 and 4

White Tail Deer Lane:
8, 16, 18, 20 and 22

Warbler Lane:
3

Customers at these locations may experience a complete loss of service during the repair period. Service will be restored as soon as the emergency repairs are completed.

Pioneer Broadband now sells mobile service under the brand name Pioneer Wireless. We are a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) partnering with Reach Mobile.

The service that we sell uses a nationwide provider and there are coverage plans ranging from $15.00 a month for barebones talk package to an unlimited talk and data package that is $45.00 a month.

So, with all the hullabaloo around recent changes in cell phone service in our area, it might behoove you to give us a call because we might be able to save you some money and some headaches.

Also, we encourage you to take a look at our current Freedom 25 promotion. If your family has four mobile phones and Pioneer fiber Internet you could save money by switching to us.

We have restored from the outage between Hodgdon and Orient. It was as we suspected, our battery backup did not know how to handle the power bump. We had to reset the logic on the device by powering it down and powering it back up. We apologize for the inconvenience and as stated earlier, we do have replacement equipment on order.

Some customers in the Hodgdon to Orient area are experiencing an outage. We have a battery backup in a cabinet that apparently is failing because every time the power bumps it stops working until we reset it. We do have new equipment ordered. It is on a list of things to do. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We believe we found the issue. We have a failing router. A reboot solved the problem. We are scheduling a replacement as soon as possible. Our apologies for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and your patronage, You should power down (not reset) your router is you're still offline.

We are aware of an outage in the Calais area. It is not affecting every customer. We are trying to isolate the issue. It appears that the power outage may have caused some kind of a problem, but we're not entirely sure what that is yet. We are actively working on the situation and understand that some of you are not online in Calais. Please bear with us as we isolate this issue. Thank you for your patience. We will update this site as we find more information.
