July is National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness and Prevention Month 💙At Relay Hawaii, we recognize that individuals with cleft and craniofacial conditions may experience speech differences that can make everyday phone conversations more challenging. Our relay services support clear, accessible communication over the phone, including:

✅ Speech-to-Speech (STS) – a phone relay service for people with speech differences who benefit from a specially trained relay operator who will repeat a caller’s words, when needed for clarity.

✅ IP Relay – A texting-based phone service where you can type your words and have them voiced on calls for you.
✅ Hearing Carry-Over (HCO) – HCO allows a person with a speech difference to listen to the person they are calling and then type out what they want the relay operator to say on the call for them.

✅ Relay Conference Captioning (RCC) - RCC allows people with speech differences to fully participate in webinars, video meetings and conference calls through the “message captioner” feature. With this feature, the user can type out what they want to have voiced on the call for them.
