This custom heavy combat shield featured one-of-a-kind artwork and was built to take a beating. This photo captures the exact moment it met a musical instrument in the heat of combat. The instrument didn't stand a chance—but the shield came through without a scratch and was ready for the next fight.

It is official. Oakheart Armory will no longer be attending the St Louis Renaissance Festival. We sold our building yesterday. We appreciate all of the support that we have had at that location for the last ten years. Do not worry, you can still find us at our other buildings at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival and Central Missouri Renaissance Festival. You can also find us at the Capital Mall in Jefferson City, MO.

THEY HAVE RETURNED!

After what felt like a quest worthy of its own bard's ballad, our Kettle Helms are finally back in stock!

Rumor has it the shipment was delayed by dragons, bandits, questionable map reading, and at least one very stubborn troll. We can't confirm any of that... but they're here now.

Whether you're building a medieval kit, heading to your next ren faire, or preparing to defend your kingdom from overly enthusiastic geese, we've got you covered.

Custom shield that we did back in 2016. We no longer make this style. The front and bands are metal riveted onto a curved wood core. The shield was functional with hand holds and painted by hand.
