Our Hilton Head Island Computer Club Annual Members Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 4, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at USBC, 1 Sand Shark Drive.
We are very fortunate to have Carri Grube-Lybarker from the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs attending to give a special presentation. She will speak about online scams, how to avoid them, what to do if you give away personal information by mistake, and additional information to keep yourself safe online.
The presentation will be given twice, at 1 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. Please choose your preferred time. You do not need to be a Computer Club member to register and attend.

Our HHICC Resource Center is open for members and non-members to join us from 10 am to 1 pm.

As of Monday, June 28th, 2021, the Resource Center will reopen to full hours:
10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

How does being an Apple user benefit you?

This overview of the Apple platform will address topics such as: What is an Apple ID and how do you get one? What does that ID do for you? What the heck is iCloud and why do you need it? What Apple services can you use? Can you use Google or Microsoft apps?

If you are new to Apple or are considering an Apple purchase, or, if you just want a better understanding of the Apple system, this presentation will give you a good explanation of what the benefits are of being "in the orchard"! Various Apple volunteers will be presenting.

Remember that individual instruction or help for Apple users is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am to 4pm at the club resource center. Stop in anytime to have fun and learn how your device can help you communicate, have fun, or be productive! Learn how to get the most from your Apple Mac, iPad, iPhone or Watch.

Before workshops please update your device to the latest IOS operating system. Know your Apple ID and Apple password.

Note, in order to complete your initial registration you must click on Register, and complete the registration process (several screens) until you get to review and confirm your registration. You must have a confirmation email in order to attend.

September 5, 2019 ~ Computer Club News

The Hilton Head evacuation is over and I hope you have been safe and not had damage from Dorian. Our club will open on its regular schedule on Monday, September 9 and the Identity Theft presentation and Safari Basics workshop will be given on schedule. Please note that those sessions are both full.

Next Tuesday, Jolyn will give a Windows 10 workshop on Windows 10 Settings.

Thursday, John Ambler will give a class on Excel Basics

Monday, September 16 at 2 PM there will be a presentation on Apple Connections.

On Thursday that week at 2 PM in the Resource Center there will be a class on BlockChain, BitCoin and Etherium for those interested in understanding digital cryptocurrencies.

Good morning HHICC members,

The Senior Center and Computer Club will be closed starting today, Monday, Sept. 2nd, 2019 and until further notice due to the impending storm, Hurricane Dorian.

Once the evacuation order has been lifted, we will reassess the situation and will re-open as soon as possible. We ask that you call before you come to the Resource Center to make sure we are back. Call 843-842-4475.
