Yikes. 😬 Did you know that a major educational company just had a massive data breach affecting over 13 million accounts?

When we think of cyber attacks, we usually think of big banks or tech companies. But the truth is, even the platforms our kids use for school or the tools we use to learn are targets.

It’s super scary to hear about, but you don't need to be a tech genius to protect yourself! Keeping your information safe can actually be pretty simple.

Here are two quick things you can do today (promise it takes less than 5 minutes):

1️⃣ Update your passwords: If you’re using the same password for your school login, your email, and your streaming accounts... it’s time for a change! Try using a short phrase that's easy for you to remember but hard for a computer to guess.

2️⃣ Turn on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): You know those text codes you get when you try to log into your bank? That's 2FA. It acts like an extra padlock on your account. If a hacker steals your password, they still can't get in without that code on your phone.

We’re almost there! Thursday is the big day. If you’re a little nervous, don't be, the team in the Bloodmobile are pros and will take great care of you.

Post-Donation Care 101:
🔴 Keep that bandage on until you get home.
🔴 Take it easy! No heavy lifting or strenuous gym sessions for 24 hours.
🔴 Keep the fluids and good food coming all day.

🚨 Warning: Hackers are faking Google Security pages 🚨

Think Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) makes you unhackable? A sophisticated new scam is proving otherwise. Attackers are using fake "Google Security" sites to trick users into installing malicious web apps that steal passwords and intercept MFA codes in real-time.

How the trap works:

🟧 The Bait: You get a convincing alert that your account is at risk.

🟧 The Fake: You're sent to a near-perfect replica of a Google dashboard.

🟧 The Hook: It asks you to "update" or "verify" by installing a web app. Once installed, it bypasses your security and hands your credentials straight to the hackers.

Our Proactive Tips:

🟩 Verify URLs: Google will never ask you to install a standalone "security app" to fix your browser account.

🟩 Inspect the Link: Always ensure you are on a legitimate google.com domain.

🟩 Educate: Awareness is the only way to stop scams that software can't always catch.
