š A Password Is No Longer Enough
Every online account you useāemail, banking, Microsoft 365, social media, shopping, cloud storage, and business applicationsāshould have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled whenever it is available.
Why is it so important?
Passwords can be stolen through phishing emails, fake login pages, data breaches, or malware. MFA adds another layer of protection. Even if someone gets your password, they still need that second form of verification to access your account.
Think of it this way:
Password = one lock on the door
Password + MFA = two locks
For the best protection, use an authenticator app, passkey, security key, or other strong MFA method when available. Text-message codes are still better than using a password alone, but stronger methods provide better protection against phishing.
At ITS Techs, we strongly recommend enabling MFA on every account that supports itāespecially your email account, because access to your email can often be used to reset passwords for many of your other accounts.
Not sure whether MFA is enabled on your important accounts? We can help.
