The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced database administrator (DBA) in building and scaling a reliable state-of-the-art cloud services platform based on IoT/connected devices architecture.

Your Responsibilities:

• Administrate, monitor, optimize performance and trouble-shoot SQL Server and Cassandra environment in production and non-production environments.

• Responsible for working closely with development teams to design, implement and support our products data storage and reporting systems.

• The Database Administrator (DBA) will have passion for Big Data and databases, and bring relational and non-relational (NoSQL) expertise to help us build top shelf products and services.

• Provide 24x7 on-call support in rotation

• Continually improve operational processes and procedures

Your minimum requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience

• Senior DBA with minimum 5 years of experience in database engineering, administration and support

Desired skills and experience:

• Expertise in SQL Server administration in a production environment

• Solid understanding of relational models, SQL server performance tuning and strong experience in automated regular maintenance
