Three new arrivals from Gingko Design.

Gingko is a small design house in Reading, England. They make objects meant to sit quietly on a desk or a bedside table without demanding anything, which is the only reason we let anything electric into a shop full of paper.

The Solar System crystal light is a glass sphere on a walnut base, the whole solar system etched inside it and lit from below.

The Smart Earth lamp actually levitates. A magnetic base holds the globe turning in mid-air.

The Natural Wood Book Light opens like a book, in walnut, and folds all the way back to hang or stand wherever you are reading.

All three in store now, Thursday through Sunday, and online at glyphstationers.com.

Blackwing × Disney — Mickey & Minnie. Limited edition, limited count.

Blackwing made this run once. We have a small allocation, and when it's gone, it's gone.

What's on the shelf at Glyph Stationers:

🖤 Mickey & Minnie Gift Set — $110 (3 available · in store only · limit 1)
✏️ Set of 12 Pencils — $40

🔴 Red Point Guard — $15

Limit 2 on everything but the gift set. Once the gift sets are gone, no more are coming.

The gift set isn't a bundle discount — it's the complete kit, boxed and ready to give. If you know someone who writes with a Blackwing and grew up on Mickey, this is the one.

We've been quiet here since the DC Pen Show, and we owe you an explanation. Part of it is the ordinary kind of busy: orders going out the door, and a lot of fall inventory landing all at once. The rest is a project we've been working on, and we'd like to ask you about it.

It's called the Chesapeake Stationery & Pen Fest. A stationery-first weekend here in Havre de Grace, presented by Glyph Stationers, aimed at fall 2027.

The idea: planners and journals, paper, washi and stickers, cards and mail, Japanese and import stationery, plus a real, serious-but-friendly pen and ink section for the curious and the obsessed alike.

Here's the part we don't know. There are terrific stationery fests out there, in Brooklyn and Chicago, and pen shows running somewhere in the country nearly every month of the year. What there isn't is a stationery-first weekend in the Mid-Atlantic, at a size where you can take your time at a table without being elbowed along. We think there's room for that. But we're early enough that we'd rather find out than assume, and the people who shop with us are the people we most want to hear from.

So there's a short survey below. It asks what you'd want to see on the floor, what would actually make the trip worth it, and (this one matters more than it sounds) which day of the week works for you. About five minutes. Nothing to buy, nothing to sign up for.

If you make or sell stationery yourself, or you know someone who does, there's a question near the end for that too. We're building the vendor list now.

Made with Tally, the simplest way to create forms.

We will be opening at 2pm today. We’re at the DC Pen Show finding all kinds of goodies and just couldn’t tear ourselves away this morning.
