Videogames Then & Now

I'm not particularly active on Facebook but I thought I'd throw this out there in case anyone is interested.

I will be giving a talk/presentation about how my partners and I founded the NNational Videogame Museumin Frisco, Texas. It will be at the SSchaumburg Township District Libraryon this coming Tuesday the 17th at 7pm. We have a decent number of online participants signed-up but I was hoping for a better showing in-person so I don't feel like I'm talking to little more than a camera the whole time.

The National Videogame Museum will see over 100,000 visitors this year alone and is the only museum in the country dedicated to preserving and educating people about the history of the videogame industry. We have the largest collection of videogame hardware, software, memorabilia and documentation anywhere in the world and it grows literally every day.

Just put out some interesting/rare collector’s editions!

Put out some very cool stuff today…

First, the new wireless controllers for the original Xbox and Dreamcast from RetroFighters landed and are now available!

Second, put out a nice bunch of Gameboy Pokemon games!

Kind of random but this is what we do every day here. This game isn’t really worth much but we still saved it from the rental stickers that were plastered all over it!

Just put out some interesting stuff. A nice lot of Atari Lynx games and a BOXED Sega CDX system! I don’t think we’ve ever had a boxed CDX in the store before!

So many Saturn and Sega CD games out today that we had to get a new display case to put them in!

So much stuff has gone out this week I can’t even take pictures of it all. The pictures are just a sampling. Not pictured is a Virtual Boy system, a region-free Saturn, over 150 GameCube games and lots more!
