Most shops see a severed flex cable and see trash. To them, "repair" means ordering a new part and waiting two weeks.

We try to do things differently.
Instead of waiting on a replacement, we went to work under the microscope. We meticulously aligned and soldered the cut flex cable back together restoring every individual trace by hand.

We just finished up a "rescue mission" on an Xbox Series X that came to us after a disastrous attempt elsewhere. Previous attempt a drill was used to remove the legs of the port, drilling straight through the legs and causing significant damage to the PCB.

To make matters worse, the solder work was substandard, leaving the console in worse shape than when it started.

After some precision repairs and cleaning up the previous work, we got it back in 100% fighting shape. It’s officially back in the hands of a very relieved gamer!

Is your video cable a ticking time bomb? 🔌

We recently saw a case of a video card's cable that completely melted at the connector. It’s a reminder that not all cables are created equal!

Some helpful signs you need to replace your cable immediately:

Physical Heat: The connector feels hot to the touch.

Glitching: Random black screens or "snow" on the monitor.

Discoloration: Any browning or warping near the plug.

We recommend to stick to high-quality, shielded cables and ensure there is plenty of airflow behind your devices. If you aren't sure about your setup, swing by the shop—we’ll give your ports and cables a quick health check.

We just wrapped up a full refresh on a trio of original Nintendo Entertainment Systems. A customer brought these in for internal servicing and a general "tune-up" to ensure they keep running for years to come.
