On Saturday we received a horrifying call that one of the YAH Brew family was involved in an accident.

Many of you may have met CJ by the bar when he steps out from the kitchen to for a quick break and have certainly enjoyed some of the food he has prepared for all our taproom guests.

On Saturday morning, he was traveling on his motorcycle when a distracted driver ran a red light and struck him at an intersection in Harrisburg.

As a result of this incident, CJ lost a portion his left leg. His life is forever changed and his immediate future will include multiple surgeries, physical rehabilitation, and a lengthy recovery.

A Go Fund Me page has been created by his family in an effort to raise money to help with the costs of living, bills, and to supplement any incurred medical expenses.

YAH Brew Hershey is asking for your support! Please stop in this week and enjoy CJ's favorite beer, our Callahan Kolsch and we will donate 100% of ALL sales of the beer this week (June 25th-30th) directly to CJ.

Yesterday was a chilly and fun day at the Hops & Harvest Festival in Columbia, MD! Thanks to all who stopped by and warmed up with some Hop Hedz beanies and sweatshirts while enjoying the fest!

Our thoughts and well wishes also are with Riley’s Brewery in Madera County as they recover from this devastating loss.

Hey everyone, Mike here. Sometime Tuesday night, the production facility at Riley's Brewing in Madera caught fire, and the entire building and everything inside and even some stuff outside was completely and utterly destroyed. If you didn't already know, my day job was Head Brewer there. I started as their sales rep and soon moved to the brewery where I've since been brewing up 1,200 gallon batches of Sancha, Hazy Space, and all other kinds of beverages like seltzers and sodas. For almost a decade it has been my home, and in the blink of an eye, it's all gone.
I would receive shipments of grain, cans, etc at Riley's since I was there every day and there was some space to store those pallets until I could move them to Incinerati. A whole brand new pallet of grain from Proximity Malt was burned up in the fire, I had just received it last week. And in a repeat of the 411 fire, a pallet of empty cans being stored there also went up in flames. So now we don't have grain to brew with, or cans to fill, and I'm also now out of a job.
While my plans have long been to build Incinerati up so I could leave my job and run my own place full time, I wasn't expecting to make that jump just yet. Now, I simply don't have a choice. It's sink or swim, and damnit, I'm not going under. I've worked far too hard for far too long on this to give up now.
This is not a post fishing for sympathy and heart emojis. This is a rally cry. Incinerati Brewing is not going anywhere, and now it has my full, undivided attention. I'm going to be brewing more, canning more, kegging more, and pouring more. All I'm asking for is your support and patronage to keep the doors open, the lights on, and the beer flowing. Tell your friends, family and neighbors about our little taproom full of cool people drinking delicious craft beers. Buy some 4-packs to go from us, ask your favorite restaurants and bottle shops to carry our cans and put us on tap. Sign up for our membership club, Sanctum Incinerati, and join our small yet growing group of regulars. I'm going to keep working to make the best beer I possibly can for you, and I hope to see you enjoying them at the taproom 🍻
