🏆 DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Congratulations to the Harlan Little League 8U Softball All-Stars on an incredible season and a DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP!

These young ladies went undefeated throughout the tournament, showing heart, determination, teamwork, and a never-give-up attitude every time they stepped onto the field. Their hard work paid off in the biggest way possible, bringing home the championship and making Harlan proud!

The team will now advance to the Kentucky Little League State Tournament beginning July 11th, where they will have the opportunity to compete against the best teams from across the Commonwealth.

From the players to the coaches, parents, and supporters who cheered them on every step of the way, congratulations on this amazing accomplishment!

Good luck at state, girls! Keep playing hard, keep believing in yourselves, and know that all of Harlan is behind you.

Funeral services for Ms. Barbara Sue Wynn, 82 of Cecilton, Maryland formerly of Harlan Co. will be 12:00 Saturday in the Chapel of the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Wynn Cemetery at Ages, KY. Visitation will be after 11:00 am Saturday until the funeral hour at Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home who is in charge of all arrangements.

Bobby Hall, age 69, of Partridge, Ky, went home to be with his LORD and savior on Friday, June 12th, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in Lynch, KY on August 18, 1956 to the late Reverend Clarence and Goldie Clem Hall. Bobby was a devoted follower of Christ, husband, father and pap to his boys.



If there was a bright side to anything, Bobby could and would, find it. He loved life and had a joy that even the hardest times of life could not in dim. One of his favorite sayings was, “ You have to endeavor to persevere.” His never give up attitude carried him through the hardest of times. No matter how hard life was, he never gave up.



If you knew him, or even if you just met him, you knew what a goofy personality he had. He had a personality that could make you laugh, even through tears. In those toughest last days and hours of his life, unable to talk, he still found a way to make us and the ones caring for him, laugh.



His bright and cheerful outlook on life came from his deep and personal relationship with God. If he could tell his friends and family one last thing, it would be to let go of the bad, cherish the good and give your heart to God.



Preceding him in death were his parents, Rev. Clarence and Goldie Clem Hall, his brothers, Fred and Jimmy; his sisters, Shelia and Kaye and his beloved nephew, Robert who he loved as his own.



Bobby leaves behind his wife, Mary, his son, Bobby and his wife, Kala, of Georgetown, Ky; his daughter, Megan C***a and her husband, Justin, of Morgantown, WV; his three beloved grandsons, Dawson, Sawyer and Reid, whom he thought the world of. He also leaves behind, his nieces, April and Melissa and his nephews Tony and Johnny, who he dearly loved, as well as numerous brothers and sister in laws. His friends, to numerous to name. Some, he considered as his brothers and sisters. If you had that special relationship with him you knew how much he loved you. He also leaves behind his many neighbors on the creek who he loved like family.



Visitation will be at the Tri City Funeral Home on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 2 pm until the funeral hour. His funeral service will be at 3 pm with Billy Lewis and Shawn Rigney officiating. Entombment will be at the Raleigh Cemetery in Partridge with family and friends serving as pallbearers.



Tri City Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Bobby Wayne Hall.
