A person seeking a fun project that serves the community?

Well, the Jeudevine Library has just the thing for you! Our beloved Gagnon Video store closed its doors six years ago, and Shari Cornish purchased its inventory. Shari then generously gifted the collection to the library in memory of her husband, Edgar.

The library is seeking a volunteer to help us sort this remarkable collection so we can put it to use. The first step is to reunite cases with disks. After that, we’d like to sort out a set to remain at the library and another to be sold as a fundraiser. This is where we need a movie lover who either knows the films or is willing to do a bit of research.

The project has no finite deadline, but we’d ideally love it done by early 2024. As the library expansion is happening this summer, the board and staff have their hands full. A volunteer for this project would be a major help!

There were several folks who pre-ordered The Renegade Groove's self-titled CD from Gagnon's when the shop was still open. We are in receipt of the discs and want to get them into your hands for your enjoyment -- and for warming-up for the performance at the Highland Center for the Arts Greensboro VT in July!

The shelves are empty -- but the DVD collection lives on! (See the article in this past week's Hardwick Gazette for details.) Shari Cornish has purchased the collection through her business, The Whistle Emporium, and will donate it to the Jeudevine Library, to honor her beloved late husband, Edgar Davis, and his love of films. We couldn't be happier, nor think of a more fitting way to keep the films available in our community!

Rest assured, we will still be around (the Hardwick area) to get the CD copy of the upcoming Renegade Groove album to those who helped w/ the Kickstarter campaign through donating at the shop! (Feel free to update contact info w/ us, if it changes between now and then. Our home number is in the local phone book, if it is needed.)

As we inch closer to completing our debut album, the lead single "Wanna See You Dance" is now available online! Keep on the lookout for more updates before the album drops May 5!

Kind of sad to see the shelves getting emptied...but *STAY TUNED HARDWICK*...looks like we have a buyer for the collection who is hopeful of bringing it back to rental availability in town in the future!
