📆 IT'S CALENDAR TIME! 📆
It's that time of year again and we're excited to get started on the 2nd Edition of the Breckinridge County Pet Calendar Fundraiser! Photo submissions are open!

Last year we had such a great time creating the amazing pet calendar that featured the most adorable cats and dogs, and even a few farm pets, from all over Breckinridge County! Half of every calendar sold was donated to the Breckinridge County Animal Shelter and we were so excited to be able to donate $275. We'd love to help donate even more this year, with help from the entire community!

🐾 We've redesigned the calendar so that even more people have the opportunity to see their pets inside the pages, but spots are still limited so they are on a first come basis!

🐾 By submitting your photo, we ask that you commit to purchasing a calendar so you can enjoy your pet, and many more!

🐾 This year we're including more info about your pet, like one of their favorite things or pass times! This adorable connection point will add more interest to the pets.

🐾 If you'd like to submit a photo of your pet (limit of 2 pets per household) then please feel free to fill out this form and submit your photo (also in the form)! Photo submissions close December 1st!

🖼️💡 Print Tip: Why Vector Logos Matter 💡🖨️
Have you ever sent your logo to be printed only to hear, "Do you have a vector file?"

You're not alone! It's one of the most common questions we ask, and for good reason. With the rise of AI creations, we see more and more generated logos that just aren't working for what people are asking for!

So... what is a vector logo?
Think of it this way:

📱 A regular image (like a JPG or PNG) is made up of tiny pixels. The more you enlarge it, the blurrier and more jagged it becomes.

📐 A vector logo is made using lines and shapes instead of pixels, so it can be resized from a business card to a billboard without losing quality.

Why does that matter?
✅ Crisp, professional printing at any size
✅ Perfect for signs, banners, shirts, embroidery, promotional products, and vehicle graphics
✅ Easier to edit, recolor, and update as your business grows
✅ No blurry or fuzzy logos on your printed materials

💡 Pro Tip: If your logo only exists as a screenshot, photo, or low-resolution image, it may be time to have a real vector logo created.

At The Print Place, we can help create your logo in all the formats you might need, including a vector design. If you're using an AI generated logo, let us help you with a brand-new logo that's ready for anything your business throws at it.

Because a great logo should look just as sharp on a pen as it does on a billboard. ✨

📄🤔 Flyer or Brochure... What's the Difference?

They may look similar at first glance, but each has a different job to do!

📰 Flyers are designed to grab attention quickly.
They're typically a single sheet and are perfect for:
✔️ Sales & promotions
✔️ Community events
✔️ Grand openings
✔️ Fundraisers
✔️ Announcements

Think of a flyer as a quick introduction. It gets your message across fast and encourages people to take action.

📖 Brochures are designed to tell your story.
With multiple panels, they give you more space to explain:
✔️ Your products or services
✔️ Your business history
✔️ Pricing or packages
✔️ Frequently asked questions
✔️ Contact information

Think of a brochure as your business's "handshake." It's something customers can take home to learn more about what you offer.

💡 Quick Tip:
Need to advertise a one-time event? Go with a flyer.
Need to educate customers about your business? A brochure is the better choice.

Not sure which one is right for your project? We'd be happy to help you decide! Our graphic designer can even create a custom design that fits your business and your goals.

📍 Stop by The Print Place or send us a message. We'll help you choose the perfect printed piece for your next project!

🪧💡 Print Tip: Don't Forget the Directional Signs! 💡🪧

You can have the best event, sale, festival, or grand opening in town, but if people can't find where they're supposed to go, frustration can quickly take over.

Here are 3 quick tips for effective directional signs:

➡️ Keep it Simple
Use large text, bold arrows, and only the information people need. A sign isn't the place for a paragraph!

👀 Think Like a Visitor
Place signs where people have to make a decision. At entrances, intersections, parking lots, and walkways are often the most important locations.

🎨 Make Them Easy to Spot
Use high-contrast colors and large lettering that can be read from a distance. If people have to stop to read your sign, it's probably too complicated.

Perfect for:
🎪 Festivals
🎓 Graduations
💍 Weddings
🏫 School Events
🎉 Community Gatherings
🏢 Business Open Houses

A good directional sign doesn't just point the way, it helps create a smoother, more enjoyable experience for everyone attending your event.

Need signs for your next event? We've got you covered! 🖨️✨
