Let’s talk about the password a lot of us have used for years because it’s easy to remember.
That’s the problem. If one account is stolen, a reused password can open the next one, and the next.
What we recommend at Beacon:
• Unique passwords for banking, email, and healthcare. Those three matter most.
• Longer is better than “clever.” A short phrase you’ll remember beats Summer2024! on every site.
• If the account offers two-factor authentication (a code to your phone after the password), turn it on. Security experts still call this one of the best protections you can add in about two minutes.
You don’t need a perfect system. You need a better one than last year.
We’re here if you want a hand setting it up.
