The Crossroads Group is excited to announce and congratulate our own Jeremiah Hoagland on receiving his Professional Land Surveyor license in Pennsylvania. Jeremy has 24 years of experience in the Civil Engineering industry and last year decided to 'go back to school' and start studying for his SIT based on years of experience. After passing that exam on the first try in December, he was approved to immediately sit for the PLS in two separate sittings which he successfully completed in March and April of this year.

If anyone local is looking for a way to give today, you can drop off a new toy anytime until December 11th at The Crossroads Group, LLC, 454 West Valley Avenue in Elysburg. These toys will be donated to young patients at Geisinger's Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville. We're generally open 8am-5pm, M-F!

Who's that in my tree stand?!?!?! Just a PSA for all the hunters and land owners out there. It's that time of the year again when you start to find tree stands that aren't familiar or hunt a new property and find yourself questioning...is this my land? A popular hunting app is onX to help you stay on the right property, but this app merely draws from existing county tax assessment maps which are only an approximation. Often they can be good to get you within 20 feet or so, but sometimes they are wildly off, simply because the county hasn't gotten any good modern survey to update their map for that particular area or parcel. So, before you hire a Bumble to rip that stand down consider getting a survey to make sure that it is your land first!
