As environmental pressures continue to grow, including risk of wildfires, access to accurate geospatial data is becoming even more important for conservation planning and resource management.

Texas Parks & Wildlife Department used Global Mapper to analyze lidar-derived terrain data across 4.4 million acres of the Texas Hill Country, identifying likely habitat for the rare Bigtooth Maple and helping field teams focus their efforts on the highest-probability survey locations.
