Reminder: The Emergency Broadband Benefit program which was started by congress last year is ending and transitioning into a new program - the Affordable Connectivity Program. At this time it is our understanding you do not have to qualify for the new program - you will automatically transition to the new program. Those of you currently receiving a $50 subsidy towards your bill who qualified last year will continue to receive a $30 benefit starting in March. However, if you qualified for the program due to a substantial loss of income in 2019/2020, you may need to requalify.
Subscribers can still apply for the ACP program and, if they are approved, can add the subsidy to your account. The website for the new program is https://www.fcc.gov/acp. If you have further questions you may contact the ACP support team with the government at (877) 384-2575.
