H2 is currently seeking Solaris Administrators with experience engineering and administering Solaris server platforms supporting shared services (ZFS, DNS, NFS, etc.) and multi-tiered applications. The ideal candidate would be well versed in Oracle Server virtualization, orchestration/automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, OpsCenter, etc.), scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.), and security best practices. The candidate will be expected to have a general understanding of large-scale data center design concepts and subsystems (i.e. storage, network, security, orchestration/automation, backup, disaster recovery) as they relate to integrating and operating Oracle/Solaris Servers deployed across geographically dispersed private data centers and commercial public cloud platforms (such as AWS). The candidate will be expected to perform engineering-focused tasks such as documentation, illustrations, and presentations. The candidate will join a team of Senior Linux/Unix engineers and work in a collaborative multi-functional team environment. A background in RHEL, VMware 5.x/6.x, NetApp, EMC, and/or Oracle 10g/11g database systems is a plus, but not required.

July 13, 2017 – Under the Small Business Administration (SBA) Mentor-Protégé Program, DirectViz Solutions, LLC (DVS) and H2 were awarded an All Small Mentor-Protégé Agreement. During the three-year agreement, H2 will engage in a developmental assistance program with focus on business development and internal support processes. Primary items include preparing H2 for CMMI Level 3 certification and transferring best business practices from DVS to assist H2 to develop business and continuously improve operations. DVS and H2 are excited about this partnership and the benefits to be obtained by both organizations.
