A little work from the Avidity archives that somehow never made it to social. 🍦

A couple years ago, we had the opportunity to design packaging for Cedar Crest Ice Cream’s line of ice cream sandwiches.

The goal was to give the products plenty of appetite appeal while still feeling unmistakably Cedar Crest. We built the system around oversized product photography, playful typography, simple flavor differentiation and a few details that bring some personality to the freezer aisle.

Black Cherry. Caramel. Vanilla.

Sometimes good work deserves another turn in the spotlight, even a couple years later.

Which flavor are you grabbing first?

Umami Hottie started as a line of chili oils sold through a San Francisco ramen restaurant.

The opportunity was bigger than a packaging refresh.

We helped build a new brand identity and packaging system designed to take the brand from restaurant-born product to retail-ready CPG.

The creative direction lived in the tension:

Cultural, but not traditional.
Bold, but not bright.
Classy, but not boring.
Modern, but not flat.
Friendly, but not childish.

From the hyottoko-inspired mascot and icon system to the dimensional type, gold foil and freezer-ready packaging, every piece was built to feel unmistakably Umami Hottie.

And most importantly, to make restaurant-quality ramen feel just as compelling on shelf as it does in the bowl. 🍜

From restaurant brand to packaged product.

We designed this four-SKU taco filling system for TACOTARIAN #1 VEGAN TACOS first move into packaged food, carrying over the bold turquoise, tile-inspired graphics and personality already established throughout their restaurants.

Each flavor gets its own vibrant color while the system stays unmistakably Tacotarian.

And front and center: some well-earned proof that this isn’t just another plant-based taco filling, it comes from an award-winning vegan taqueria.

The best brands usually start by solving a problem their founders actually experienced.

For John and Brooke Campbell, that problem was simple: every snack they packed on outdoor adventures left them wanting something better.

That idea became Wild Monkey Bar.

In this episode of Shelf Talkers, John shares the story behind building the company, creating a standout brand, and why they’ve intentionally chosen slow, sustainable growth over chasing every opportunity.

A few years ago we had the opportunity to help bring the NUJO Super Brew brand to the next level of CPG.

We evolved the brand identity and packaging system and every decision was made to help the product feel clean, approachable, and premium.

It’s always fun looking back at old projects that challenged us to step up our game.
