Be sure to log out of Facebook after your each time you use it. There seems to be a lot of hacking going on recently. I realize it's a pain in the butt to log in and out every time, but it's better than getting hacked. Changing your Facebook password every once in a while is also a good idea. These suggestions may not totally prevent you from getting hacked, but they won't hurt!

Good afternoon! I hope everyone is enjoying this nice October weather. It's been a while since I've posted here, but I got hacked today. I just clicked on a link in facebook, and lights started flashing and a voice told me not to shut down my computer or all sorts of bad stuff would happen. So, the first thing I did was to hit ctrl alt delete and logged out. My computer restarted, and all was well. I scanned it with every tool in my arsenal, and nothing was found, just as I figured. I set my history to be automatically deleted when I log out of Edge, just to be on the safe side. This is the second time in 2 days that this has happened. The first was a gentleman from Bryant Pond, and he simply shut his computer off and all was well when he restarted it. Now you know what to do if it happens to you. If it (the offending website) doesn't go away. give someone a call, but not the number that flashes up on your screen!
Windows 7 end of life is January 14, 2020. No more updates and security may become an issue. Time to update to Win 10. I do have a few renewed Win 10 laptops and desktops for sale if anyone is interested. 207-875-3335/207-381-7124
