The concept is well established in Europe and Japan and gaining traction in The States. This is in Savannah, Georgia and more of a lounge than a bar. Let’s hope the idea grows and introduces more young people to music as well audio.

One of the drawbacks of being a cable representative is that cables are naturally hidden behind every other component in the system: connections are always on the back of everything.

So it’s always nice to find cables being presented as a component as important as any other in the system. This is the 40th Anniversary Ruby Crown speaker cable by Siltech, the most accessible cable model in Siltech’s top-shelf Mono-Crystal Silver conductor technology, connected to a pair of TIDAL Audio loudspeakers at this year’s AXPONA Audio Expo North America show.

Perhaps the greatest compliment we received over and over and over again at this year’s AXPONA Audio Expo North America show was, “Are the subwoofers on?” Using a small pair of Audio Physic Tempo floorstanding speakers with their new SL midrange driver (available as an upgrade kit for all you chasers of continuing performance improvements) and a pair of the new Rhea III subwoofers, the system blended the response of the speakers and subs so seamlessly that multiple visitors couldn’t tell if we were using the subs or not. Quite a feat from the Audio Physic guys!

The Rhea III features electronics designed in tandem with Velodyne Acoustics, a cabinet and 12” woofer designed by Audio Physic, hi- and low-level inputs, and multiple adjustments to tailor the sub’s response for exactly what you need to perfectly integrate them into your system.
