When you're reviewing a referral, a couple of things always seem to slow you down. A scheduling answer that just says a time slot was picked, without saying which provider, date, or location the patient actually chose. A page the patient skipped, with no way to tell if they missed it or the form never asked.

Kenzie's going to make this easier to see, with more to come.

What's the most time-consuming part of reviewing a referral for you right now?

Quick question if you're planning to open a private practice this year. Do you know when your credentialing applications actually need to go in?

Credentialing can take 90 to 180 days with a single insurance payer, and that clock usually starts moving long before you see your first client, not after.

So if you've already got an opening date in your head, it's worth checking that date against this timeline. A lot of new practice owners plan everything else first and treat credentialing like something they'll deal with once the doors are open.

We laid out the full pre-opening order in a free workbook, credentialing included. Comment "workbook" and we'll send it your way.

Got a friend who's planning to open a practice? They'll thank you for this now more than after they've already picked a date.

If you've ever had to switch between SOAP, DAP, BIRP, and GIRP depending on the session, you already know that's rewriting the same visit four different ways.

What gets overlooked is that the session itself stays exactly the same, only the format changes.

Across all four formats, the interventions and the plan stay the same, just organized differently.

Kenzie can do this with any session you record, and if your practice uses a format we don't already have, you build it once and Kenzie fills it in from there every time after.

If this feels like your week, give Kenzie a try, since the Starter plan is free at getkenzie.com.

You tell your friends to rest, to slow down, to give themselves a break, and you mean it every time. When's the last time you actually did that for yourself?

Being kind to yourself matters most on your busiest days, exactly when it's easiest to skip. Something small counts too, like logging off before your inbox is empty or giving yourself fifteen minutes between one thing and the next.

If you needed this reminder today, save it for next time. What's one way you're being kinder to yourself this week?

How many of your clinical notes came home with you this weekend, sitting in a tab you didn't close?

If your laptop's already open on a Saturday morning, it's because charting has always worked backwards, the notes wait until the session's over, and whatever's left just moves into your weekend with you.

Kenzie drafts the note from the session itself, so by the time Friday ends, it actually ends, and there's no laptop waiting on the kitchen table for Saturday to deal with. You still review and approve every note, Kenzie just makes sure there's nothing left undone once you're actually home.

For therapists managing a full caseload, that's the difference between a Saturday that's actually yours and one that starts with the work you thought you'd left at the office.

What's the first thing you'd do with a calm Saturday morning? Start free at getkenzie.com and find out.

Quick question if you're building a private practice: is your patient email actually HIPAA compliant, or just professional-looking?

A lot of new practice owners set up a nice email address and think that's enough. But when patient information is involved, you need to know how the service protects that data, and whether they'll sign something called a BAA (Business Associate Agreement).

It's easy to miss when you're focused on getting your doors open. It's way easier to fix now than after you've already sent patient info through it.

Kenzie put together a free Private Practice Launch Workbook covering this and everything else you need before opening, like credentialing, compliance, and hiring.

Comment EMAIL and we'll send you a free copy, or send us a message.

Kenzie was built by mental health providers, for mental health providers, people who already knew exactly what a session like yours requires.

It drafts notes for therapy and psychiatry sessions, in person or over telehealth, with the detail you'd want on record if a chart is ever reviewed, all without asking you to leave the EHR you already use. Everything runs inside a HIPAA compliant, SOC 2 Type 2 certified environment, so adding Kenzie doesn't mean changing how you already work, just adding something that keeps your data protected the way it should be.

And through all of that, you're still the one in control: Kenzie drafts the note, you review, edit, and save it.

If you're shopping for an AI scribe right now, don't just compare prices. The real test is whether it can actually keep up with how you write.

There are five things worth checking before you commit to one, and the biggest tell is the language it uses. "Patient seemed sad" doesn't hold up the same way "dysphoric mood with constricted affect" does, and that gap shows up fast once a note gets pulled for review.

This is one of the standards we hold Kenzie to as well. The Starter plan is free, see the rest of the list and try it yourself at getkenzie.com.

Not everyone who's struggling looks like they're struggling.

Some people show up, get through the day, take care of everyone else, and don't let you know they're struggling.

This Su***de Prevention Month, check in on the ones who seem fine too. You don't need the right words, just ask and actually listen to the answer.

If someone came to mind while you read this, send them a message today.

If a patient ends up with two profiles in your system, Kenzie lets you fix it in a few clicks, no ticket required.

The whole process is picking which record stays, comparing both side by side, and confirming.
