THE MORAL MELTDOWN OF THE FAMILY BY NEGATIVE PROGRAMMING OF TV

Hello. i
want to discuss with you about what i see as a most dangerous threat and a serious contributor to the delinquency of our children. it is the probably best loved medium of communication the world had ever seen up until the advent of the WW Web, and that is TV. some how we have let something so useful and that took over after the world wars that destroyed countless lives, “TV,” put harmony and togetherness back where the world wars had took away and separated families. TV made us feel amazingly better. it brought families together after dinner and a long day at work, back together again in the family room, and every thing was wholesome and lifted the family up. but im sad to say now, all that has changed. now this same medium that lifted the family up from the chaos of two world wars now has joined the bidding War of higher ratings and i want to tell you that it is at our demise, and at the family’s expense. now the rating system let broadcasters and Hollywood rate a movie as a warning, (a trick to put the blame on you) so family’s will not let their children watch the program. but, and i try not to use too many but’s.. because you know what comes from butts …t ! so all we are getting as
of a generation of children that are more aggressive and rebellious to authority, this negative programming makes our job immensely difficult if not impossible, now the motivation for writing this Blog came from the sitcom ” The Soul Man “.here the master clown Cedric the entertainer portrays a pastor @ his fathers church. his wife portrays his wife ,the 1st lady, who showcases her extremely large breasts, and wears tight fitting everything to showcase her Butt and Hips and thighs. now you tell me what type of emotions are being played with? does that help the parent who is trying to teach his or her child about s*x, and to try to wait until you are emotionally ready. we know that they are physically ready, that’s what this blog is about. and because of what is being said on the Soul Man i will give you a few quotes from the show . now these comments are from loll i(the wife played by Niecy Nash), she tells rev, ” lack of b***y makes you moody !” and “women’s parts start percolating when husband does his chores.” thru out the show s*xual overtones vibrate all over the place. now some of you probably say well they just acting, any fool can see that, but why can,t we acknowledge the negative influence this show has on the family. just because sociologists have expanded the definition of family to be inclusive, we should at all costs safeguard against the negative moral misshaping these programs have and we all should demand that the vocabulary be cleaned up. then i think its demeaning to all those true and great Black pastors that are doing a great job( all pastors are not Bishop Eddie long). this show the “Soul Man “, is demeaning to Black pastors and churches alike. this show weaves if i may say some type of spell on the minds of people because according to “Nielson’s rating” whom i quote as a source of this information, state that adults males ages 25-54 and women ages 25-54 averaged over 1.9 million viewers. and may i add this is @ 11:00 at night on TVLAND. not prime time and the other sitcom the EXES are # 1 and 2 according to “Nielsons rating” . the EXES come on @ 1:30 am. together TVLAND aired 2 encores of the Soul Man 11 PM and 1:30 am which combined with the premier telecast, attracted over 3.5 million total viewers for the Soul Man, and 2.6 million total viewers for the EXES. (source : Nielsen TV ratings 6/20/12) now i understand actors need to work especially when unemployment is so high. but when was the last time the movie house shut down because Hollywood was not producing and making shows and movies because the actors were layed off ? these people live in a entirely diffrent world than we do . they don’t call us consumers for nothing!! but the question is what are you consuming ? what are we allowing ourselves and our families mentally consume thru our eyes and ears ? it is more our fault than theirs because we don’t say any thing instead even when we the consumer is layed off from the job we still find enough change to keep cable so we can watch these negative shows make fun of ours pastors who are always there for us. make fun of our pastors wives as bi**os with large breast and dumb as” i don’t know what”. they make fun of married couples and give the impression that you will be more happy if you get a divorce. and before i leave you, let me say this because im very passionate about this. im not the only one that has these feelings. while doing my research i discovered that there is a christian conservative watchdog group called “one million moms” who consider this show as a disgrace. it blew me away to find this group who don’t do like the 3.5 million who sit up or get up @ 11:00 thru 1:30 am to get made fun of while we laughing at our selves.go the million moms website and read it for yourself. it is a minstrel show that stars us and our values and all we do is laugh, and shuck and jive skinning and grinning like the stereotype of Negroes, ” please don’t get upset with me when i simply remind you of a historical stereotype that ”as long as you keep them grinning(negroes) you can tell them anything. please don’t get mad at me for telling you what i believe to be truth that is based on Nielsen ratings, and as a pastor myself i see this kind of garbage all the time.
