Solutions to meet real-world demands. Another utility using our industry-leading SmartPTO, Dominion Energy!

Outfitted on a Terex HRX55 aerial device, “line workers reported equivalent performance compared to an engine-powered PTO, and they appreciated the lower job site noise levels. Not having the chassis engine running decreased jobsite sound pollution, allowing better verbal communication,” said Terex Utilities Product Manager, Robert Hasegawa.

We’re celebrating another utility using our industry-leading ePTO, Xcel Energy!

Providing power to millions of homes and businesses across eight U.S. states, Xcel Energy has an ambitious plan to electrify all its light-duty vehicles and 30% of its medium- and heavy-duty by 2030.

As part of this plan, they’ve begun taking delivery of the Terex Utilities Optima 55 ft aerial device mounted on the International® eMV™ Series electric chassis from Navistar and powered by Viatec’s SmartPTO.

So far, the ePTO trucks have been added to Xcel Energy’s Minneapolis and Denver fleets, with plenty more to come!

Something big is coming…

Later this month, we’ll announce the release of our third product and the next building block of your zero worksite.

Our and units are already helping work truck fleets worldwide to eliminate vocational idling and reduce emissions. These plug-and-play systems are completely modular and compatible with any gas- or diesel-powered chassis.

With all the same modularity and compatibility, our next product will be a major compliment to our existing offerings and will further empower work truck fleets to create safer, cleaner, quieter job sites.

Viatec’s usage reporting tool gives you insight and so much more.

In last month’s blog post, we took a closer look at the capabilities of our usage reporting tool. The tool reports on important usage information , such as hours used, idling hours eliminated, fuel saved, and CO2 avoided with our and units.

These reports also provide the units' temperature, pressure and pump speeds—which are critical in monitoring and remote diagnostics.

The blog includes examples of these reports and explains how they can help you understand where, when and how your team is getting work done in the field.

Announcing an exciting collaboration with Oncor Electric Delivery! 🤝🤝🤝

In our ongoing effort to replace traditional gas- and diesel-powered generators with all-electric solutions like our SmartPTO and SmartPX systems, we celebrate every new opportunity to work with businesses like Oncor. As the largest distribution and transmission system in Texas, they provide safe and reliable power to more than 10 million customers.

We recently delivered our system to be installed on Oncor’s work truck as part of their Navistar-Terex-Viatec all-electric bucket truck. Servicing roughly 3.8 million homes and businesses and operating more than 139,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines across Texas, the covers a lot of ground and logs hundreds of hours on job sites daily. By incorporating our all-electric systems into their fleet, they’ll save countless hours of vocational idling—and more.
