I love a brand that has a bit of a hold on people.
You know the kind where someone spots the packaging across a room and knows exactly who made it, or recognizes a campaign before the logo even appears?
I find the thinking behind that kind of recognition fascinating.
If I were building a brand with that kind of staying power, I’d want to know everything about the people I was trying to reach.
I’d want to know what they’re drawn to, which brands they already love, what they talk about with their friends, and what makes them reach for their wallets.
I’d probably get a little too invested in the research, but that’s an occupational hazard I’m quite happy to live with 😏
From there, I’d start thinking about how to give the brand a personality that people could recognize anywhere.
I’d consider how its visual identity could become familiar over time and which details people might eventually associate with the business.
I’d also be thinking about where the business might go in the future, because if we’re putting this much thought into building something wonderful, I’d quite like it to stick around.
I have a real soft spot for brands that people remember long after they’ve stopped looking at them.
If you want a brand that’ll survive trends and still represent you in 5 years, that’s the kind of work I love doing at Sunday Muse. DM me & tell me what your vision is.
