This is a Monday-Friday daylight position. Evenings and weekends may be required with prior notice, providing remote and on-site service in the Tri-County area.
Education & Qualifications:
- AS Degree and at least 2 years of hands on technical experience. Preferred candidate should have a technical certification from Comp TIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or Symantec.
Position Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Background check and drug test.
- Comfortable working from a ladder or man lift.
- Business casual company dress code (Company shirts are provided)
- The successful candidate will need to have a reliable car with a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
Core Functions: (CRITICAL TO THE JOB)
- Provide remote and on-site support to the clients.
- Responsible for new installation as well as diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Network cabling: Experience with CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6a installation and troubleshooting.
- Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer system hardware and software.
- Ability to recommend appropriate equipment replacement and upgrades to customers.
- Perform monthly server maintenance
Must have experience troubleshooting and installing:
Software:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, including SBS versions.
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2013/2016/2019.
- Microsoft Windows Client Operating Systems (7/8/10).
- Cisco, SonicWALL and other software VPN clients.
Hardware:
- SonicWALL & Cisco Hardware Firewalls and VPN's.
- Cisco, Netgear, HP, Dell Switches & Cisco, Engenius, and Meraki Wireless Products.
- Hewlett Packard ProLiant Servers.
- Dell PowerEdge Servers.
- APC, Tripp-Lite UPS's.
- Cisco Meraki Network Products.
- Network printer support experience
Required Soft Skills:
- Must be customer focused and demonstrate a high level of customer service.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical information in a professional and courteous manner to the client.
