In this position, you’ll be working out of a company provided service truck on the road. You would be responsible for repairing and maintaining our own fleet of trucks, machinery and mechanical equipment as needed. You will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining some other fleets of trucks and equipment. This is a great chance to be part of a small family-owned company that puts there employees first. This is not a class “A” mechanic position. More of an all-around maintenance mechanic job. Completive pay base on experience. Includes paid vacations, paid healthcare, company matched 401K.
Job Responsibilities:
• This is a fleet maintenance job. Attention to detail is key part of the work not a fast-paced shop.
• General maintenance on all light & heavy trucks and equipment. Including oil changes, and inspections.
• Repairs on light pickups, heavy trucks & trailers. Including brakes, tires, lights, steering and suspension repairs.
• Repairs and maintenance on equipment such as generators, light towers, skid steers, backhoe’s, forklifts, tractors Etc.
• Willing to travel within the tri state area and work as a one-man crew in all weather conditions.
Job Skills Preferred:
• CDL B driver license helpful but not required
• Experience with operation and repairing construction equipment
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills (both oral and written)
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis
Job Skills Required:
• Must be Over 21
• 4 years or more of work experience in an automotive repair environment
• Clean Driving record and background check
• Working knowledge and ownership of basic mechanical hand tools.
• Working knowledge of electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Both low voltage (up to 50V DC) and high voltage (up to 240V AC)
• Ability to complete service tickets after each project using computer-based software.
