Dirigo Wireless, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Wireless Communications Installer. The successful job candidate
would be responsible for installing, programming, maintenance and troubleshooting of a wide variety of Public Safety
and Commercial Vehicles. We are looking for a motivated and energetic person to work with our team.
$ 18-$ 24 an hour. Salary based on experience.
Position: Full Time
Job responsibilities:
- Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Two-Way radios and a variety of other equipment in vehicles
including police vehicles, fire department apparatus, public works vehicles, cars and trucks.
-Installation, termination and testing of coaxial cable and DC power cables.
- Operation of test equipment such as service monitors, watt meters, and digital voltmeters, etc.
- Complete service orders, customer, and system specific documentation.
- Must complete vender specific certifications as needed (this may require some travel).
Desired Qualifications: (will consider training the right candidate)
- 3+ years’ experience in two-way radio and wireless communications installation and maintenance preferred but
not required. Will train the right person.
- Good mechanical skills and working knowledge of using both powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Working knowledge of a variety of test equipment
- Must have basic computer skills and be able to work with a variety of application including but not limited to
equipment programming software, QuickBooks, Google Apps, MS Word, and Excel.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Security clearance may be required
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in small spaces
- Must be able to climb ladders, work on elevated heights
- Must be able to work both inside and outside in both cold and poor weather.
- Must be able to travel out of state on a very limited basis.
- Some overnight travel may be required
- Strong customer service skills required
