Exciting news from Prysmian!
We’re investing over $1 billion to expand our fiber and optical cable capacity in the U.S., supporting the growing demand for advanced digital solutions and creating 600 new manufacturing jobs.
Our investment will benefit facilities across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Over $1 billion is going to our Claremont, NC campus, doubling its fiber manufacturing facility and expanding the optical cable plant. In Jackson, TN, $100 million will double the cable facility’s capacity, while $80 million will further expand capabilities in Lexington, SC.
This follows our recent €5.5 billion ($6.29 billion) long-term agreement with Molex to supply optical cables for data centers—a move that will more than double our domestic optical cable and fiber capacity, including the glass preforming stage.
