A stolen vehicle. A license plate that fought back.

When Tony Nguyen's customized Toyota 4Runner was taken from a parking lot in California, he activated the "Stolen" feature on his Reviver RPLATE, the world's first digital license plate. The plate displayed "STOLEN" for everyone around him to see, and within the hour, California Highway Patrol had the vehicle back, thanks to witnesses who spotted the alert and called it in.

"It's a really great example and use case of our stolen feature," says Clayton Cardinalli, Reviver's Director of Marketing.

It's a look at where vehicle safety is headed: technology that turns every driver on the road into an extra set of eyes for law enforcement.
