Okay so I’ve been thinking about putting together a client closet… 👀

Would y’all actually use one if I did?

I’m thinking maternity dresses, maybe some cute outfits for little ones for milestones, possibly some family pieces eventually.

But then I started wondering… would you rather have the option to use something from a client closet that photographs really well, or is picking out an outfit that you get to keep and that hasn’t been worn by other kids more important to you?

I feel like I could see it going either way, so I’m curious 😂

If I put one together, what would you actually want to see in it? Maternity? Milestones? Family? All of it?

I’m seriously considering doing this, so tell me what you think!

True story:

Last year, while packing up after one of my last Christmas mini sessions, an older looking truck pulled up next to me.

I immediately heard my mom’s voice in the back of my head saying “stranger danger!!” but then this sweet voice stopped and said, “Hi! I don’t mean to bother you, but do you do this often?”
I told her yes, and that I’d be happy to give her my card.

She then told me the old Ford she was driving was her late husband’s. She asked if I had any interest in using it for my sessions and started telling me about how much he loved this truck. She was trying to find a way to put it to good use and keep it from just sitting around.

My heart immediately felt for her. As a wife to a truck enthusiast, I know how much a good ole truck can mean to a man!

The first time I rented the truck, she showed up with her pup, Angus, and a lawn chair. I couldn’t have been more thrilled! She offered to help however she could and genuinely loved getting to sit back and watch the session happen. She even texted me afterwards and told me she would love to see the photos I took.

Some time passed, and when I reached out to her again, she told me she had just gotten the truck out of the shop. She said she told the mechanics, “Ole girl will need to be up and running for Jess!”

My heart 🥹

This isn’t a corporate business rental. This isn’t just some random truck I found online. This is a woman allowing me to use something that means so much to her because it belonged to her husband, and in a small way, she’s giving that truck a new purpose.

So when you book one of my truck minis, you might just see Michelle & Angus there too 🐶 Some pals of mine that will always have a special spot in my heart ❤️

I’ll be setting up the truck with fall decor at Byron Stewart Park in Cleburne for a limited evening of mini sessions.

Aside from taking the photos, I actually really enjoy putting together props. So when a client lets me create the setup, I’m cheesin from ear to ear. 🙂

I thrifted this antique picnic basket, and these lace curtains were actually my Grandmother’s!

This is just one example of a Cake Smash setup. I have a ton of thrifted finds and other goodies that I love using to create different setups for my clients.

Okay, I’ve accepted it.

I’m probably the only photographer in her 20’s without an active instagram.

Reels? Don’t ask.
TikTok? My algorithm is broke. Just a bunch of we**ie dogs and questionable people 😅
Facebook? Now THIS is my territory.

But seriously, one of the biggest goals I have for my business is building this page up so that new people can find me, book with me, and hopefully become one of my repeat clients.

And repeat clients are a HUGE deal to me. Like… I will happily photograph your family for the next 47 years. 😂

The sweetest little boys but all credit due to their sweet mama!

What an honor it is to be let into the lives of my clients families. It’s not easy loosening up and being yourselves in front of a camera, especially with someone you just met!! That’s why this is an honor for me. I love being able to cut the awkwardness and really see these personalities come out.
